Welcome to Darius' Website
Hi, my name is Darius, and this is where you can learn a little about me.
The name of the school I attend now is Richards Middle School, and I'm in 6th grade now. My mom moved me from the private school back to public school. She said that she wanted to try it and see how it goes. Some of the kids from my private school left and went to public school. Some of them like it and some of them don't. I sort of like my school, but my mom doesn't. She wants to move me back to private school, but she hasn't made up her mind yet. I've made a lot of friends at my school and in the neighborhood. Some of the teachers are mean, but some are ok. My favorite class was PE. We mostly played basketball and football, and it was fun. It was strange when we had to change our clothes in the locker room. I didn't want anyone else to look at me when I changed, so I would go into a bathroom to do it. I had a cooking class too, and I learned how to make chocolate chip cookies! I brought one home so my mom could taste it and she said it was good. I asked her if I could make cookies at home and she said she would see. I'm doing really good in all my classes except for math. I have As and Bs in social studies, science, language arts and my connections classes. I have a C in math. The math class that I have now is easier than the one I had at first. But, it's still a little hard.
When I grow up, I think that I would like to be a scientist. It would be either a scientist that works with animals or one that works with chemicals in a lab. I don't really know which one yet.
My favorite sport is basketball, and last season I played GBL basketball with the 6th grade boys from my school. My school only has a team for the 8th grade boys, so Gwinnett county has teams for 5th, 6th and 7th grade boys and girls to play in with kids from their own school. If you click on the basketball link, you can go to my basketball page and learn all about it and view some videos. The regular season is over, but I'm playing AAU basketball now.
